Benjamin James Stevenson has practiced law for over two decades.  Before starting Stevenson Legal, he was a staff attorney at the ACLU of Florida for 16 years.  He has litigated throughout Florida a broad array of civil rights & constitutional claims in both federal and state courts—from free speech and conditions of confinement to due process.  In that practice, he regularly briefed factual statements, legal claims and defenses, justiciability, and immunities for both dispositive motions and appeals.

Stevenson studied philosophy at the University of the South (Sewanee).  He graduated magnum cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.  At Florida State University College of Law, he was a member of its Law Review and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif.

Outside of his practice, Stevenson enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife, daughter, and pets.
